Karina Alif and Luthfia Carissa are students of the Interior Design Program class of 2018 who took part in the Living Room Design Competition at Bharatika Design Festival. They submitted their best work for the competition on April 21, 2022. The competition was organized by Petra Christian University Surabaya. They took part in the competition with a national category for university students and high school students. The competition was held in a hybrid manner.
“The works are made in collaboration, starting with a discussion of concepts and ideas for designs, then we divide the tasks into several parts. While Luthfiah creates 2D technical information drawings, I mostly focus on presentations connected to visual design.”, said Karina Alif.
The winner of the competition was announced on May 21 2022 and it was an honor for them to be chosen as the bronze winner.
“This work, hopefully, can be the start to creating better works in the future, both for competitions, academic work, or in the professional field. The most important thing is the learning process that goes through during the creation of a work; therefore, I hope more people will dare to take part in the competition to hone their skills because.”, said Karina Alif.”
